How the game was won: Carrollton took a 6-0 lead into the second quarter and piled on 29 points to grow a 35-7 halftime lead. Jordan Bonner recovered a Banneker fumble for Carrollton's first quarter score and Jaylan Thomas ran in a 12-yard touchdown eight seconds into the second quarter. Mark Wright followed the Thomas score with a 46-yard touchdown run and Mark Wright connected with Jordan Bonner for a 20-yard Carrollton touchdown. Banneker answered with a 65-yard run by quarterback Avery Bond but Thomas added a 2-yard touchdown run seconds before the half. Carrollton's Jarvis Terrell returned the opening kick of the second half for an 87-yard touchdown and Thomas scored his third rushing touchdown from 40-yards out before Angelo Osorio scored Carrollton's last points on a 2-yard run. Banneker's Jerrett Mumford added a 28-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown with 3:23 left.
