This week's games mark the end of the regular season, which means the region tournaments are around the corner. It's those crucial tournaments that will determine Class AA state playoff seeding, with each of the eight regions represented by four teams. Be sure to check the AJC Prep Zone often next week, as we'll be updating the progress of all 96 region tournaments through their completion Feb. 14 and 15.

In the meantime, here's a look at the Class AA state playoff brackets. Once the seedings are determined, I'll post my predictions as I did for the Class AA football tournament, where I correctly picked the championship game matchup, but missed on the Lovett Lions - who defeated Lamar County for their first title in nearly 40 years.

It will be interesting to see how the region tournaments play out. Will the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans extend their overall region win streak past 80 games? Will the Wesleyan Lady Wolves position themselves well enough for a potential seventh consecutive state title? Who are your sleeper teams to watch?

ETC.

• If you missed GAC's Isaiah Wilkins and his rim-breaking dunk, check it out. OK, maybe he didn't break the rim, but it's a fun highlight nonetheless and comes from one of the top players in the state.

• There are four remaining undefeated teams: GAC and Vidalia - both 23-0 - on the boys' side; Pelham (20-0) and Kendrick (18-0) on the girls' side.
