Northgate sweeps rain-shortened Coweta County Championships
Violent storms caused the Coweta County Championships to end prematurely after the completion of just seven events. Northgate took first in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions. East Coweta and Newnan finished second and third, respectively, on both sides.
Top performers in the meet included Northgate senior Drew Latham in the discus (157-9 ¾), Aliyah Whisby, a senior at East Coweta, in the high jump (5-4) and Northgate senior Hannah Schaefer in the pole vault (10-6).
