The defending boys and girls champions in each classification will have a chance to win it again when the two-day state championship tournaments begin throughout the state on Monday.
Each of last year’s winners survived their area qualifying tournaments and will be among the competitors – and in some cases the favorites -- in the two-day 36-hole events played throughout the state.
Class AAAAAAA: The Mill Creek boys go for their third straight championship at Hamilton Mill Golf Club in Hoschton. North Gwinnett's girls go for their second straight at Chimney Oaks Golf Club in Homer.
Class AAAAAA: Johns Creek, which has won three straight championships, will defend its boys title at Woodmont Golf Club in Canton. The Northview girls are the defending champions and will defend at Cobblestone Golf Club in Acworth.
Class AAAAA: The Starr's Mill boys and girls are both the two-time defending champions in the classification. The boys and girls will both compete at Sunset Hills Country Club in Carrollton.
Class AAAA: The Columbus boys, who have won state in the last three years, will defend their crown at the Country Club of Columbus. The Woodward Academy girls go for their third title in four years at Maple Ridge Golf Club in Columbus.
Class AAA: The Westminster boys and Rutland girls are the defending champions. The boys will compete at Cateechee Golf Club in Hartwell, while the girls will play Arrowhead Pointe in Hartwell. Westminster has won nine state championships.
Class AA: The Metter boys and St. Vincent's Academy girls are both in the field for the championships, which will both be held at Oak Mountain in Carrollton.
Class A Private: The Holy Innocents' boys and Darlington girls will defend their titles at Green Island Golf Club in Columbus.
Class A Public: The Gordon Lee boys try to make it three in a row at Southern Landings in Warner Robins. The Lake Oconee Academy girls aim for another crown at Southern Hills in Hawkinsville.
