Georgia Tech student Grant Brunson, who was paralyzed in a freak accident in November, got a visit Monday from Tech coach Paul Johnson and quarterbacks Justin Thomas and Matthew Jordan.

The three paid the visit to Brunson at the Shepherd Center following the team’s practice preparing for the TaxSlayer Bowl against Kentucky Dec. 31 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Brunson suffered the injury when he fell off the shoulders of a fraternity brother during a team-building exercise. The tweet suggested that Brunson, a freshman, plans to return to school in the fall.

Brunson's loyalties run true to Tech. He suffered the injury on the same day that the Yellow Jackets played Virginia Tech. After coming out of surgery, one of the first questions he asked was for the score of the game.

A fund has been set up to defray Brunson's medical costs.
