If you want to know why there are so many expansion candidates for MLS...the graphic in that story tells you why.

If I learned anything earning (and paying for) my MBA, it's that lifetime consumers are the target for any business. MLS is getting them while they are young, which increases the probability that they will be fans for life.  Fans for life equals more money spent, equals more referrals, etc.
