The Falcons were unable to get anything going on offense against the Dolphins on Saturday. CineSport's Chad Cutler and The AJC's D. Orlando Ledbetter discuss this and Julio Jones' new contract.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Five things to know about how the Falcons played Saturday night against the Miami Dolphins in their third exhibition game.

1. Rushing attack meek. Falcons coach Dan Quinn was not happy about another poor blocking outing by the offensive line.

“It’s a really important part of what we want to do,” Quinn said. “It’s a real emphasis for us. …We really feel like for us to be able to run the ball closes the circle of toughness on our team. For us to win it at the end of games, there will be times when we have to run it and finish.”

Quinn wouldn't call the issue a “concern.”

“The emphasis is still there,” Quinn said.

2. The interior battles. Quinn said the interior of the offensive line is under heavy scrutiny.

“There is a lot to look at there,” Quinn said.

3. Tight end group. Quinn didn't have a post-game update on tight end Tony Moeaki, who left the game with an ankle injury.

But, unsolicited, he put the tight end group on notice.

“Tight end wise, we are still evaluating all of them,” Quinn said. “That position is something that we are looking at hard.”

4. Ryan on Coleman. Rookie running back Tevin Coleman made his NFL debut.

While he rushed for 2 yards on four carries, quarterback Matt Ryan was impressed.

“I thought Tevin did a nice job,” Ryan said. “In some of the situations he had some tough looks to go against. But I thought the one run where it looked like he was kind of down and he kept the motor running and kind of extended that run… after contact. That kind of showcased what he’s capable of doing.”

5. Yates' effort. Backup quarterback T.J. Yates, who saw the team sign veteran quarterback Rex Grossman on Wednesday, completed 18 of 28 passes for 187 yards. He was sacked three times and finished with a passer rating of 83.5.
