March 10, 2016

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Falcons reached a one-year contract with linebacker Sean Weatherspoon on Thursday.

Weatherspoon, who was drafted in the first round in 2010, played last season with Arizona. He's hoping to revive his career which has been slowed by injuries.

Weatherspoon spent the first five years of his career with the Falcons.

He experienced the best years of his career in 2011 and 2012, as he recorded a combined 220 tackles and seven sacks.
