TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After speaking with the media about Alabama's Pro Day, Alabama coach Nick Saban chatted with us about new Falcons coach Dan Quinn.

He had some high praise for the first-time NFL head coach. Quinn worked on Saban’s staff when he was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 2005-06.

“Dan, I always thought was as fine of an assistant coach as I’ve ever had on any staff,” Saban said. “He was really a hard worker. He had a great relationship with his players. Very enthusiastic. Very energetic. Very positive energy that affected the people around him.”

Quinn coached the defensive line for Saban.

“Really was a team-first guy and always contributed to our group that way,” Saban said. “I knew that he’d do great things as a coach. It’s not surprising, the success that he had in Seattle. I’m really pleased and happy for him to have the opportunity in Atlanta.”
