FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons head coach Dan Quinn has some positions still to fill on his coaching staff, but announced several hires on Wednesday.

Richard Smith as defensive coordinator, Kyle Shanahan as offensive coordinator, Raheem Morris assistant head coach/defensive passing game coordinator, Bobby Turner as running backs coach, and Mike LaFleur as offensive assistant, were announced by the team.

The Falcons have also special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong, defensive line coach Bryan Cox, tight ends Coach Wade Harman, wide receivers coach Terry Robiskie, and assistant special teams coach Eric Sutulovich.

Also, Chris Morgan has been hired as the offensive line coach, according to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports.

Morgan spent the last five years with the Oakland Raiders (2009-10) and Washington Redskins (2011-13) as an assistant line coach before joining Seattle. He's worked under former Falcons offensive line coach Tom Cable in Oakland and Seattle.

Since 2012, the Redskins lead the NFL with 4,873 rushing yards, leading Seattle by only 106 yards during that span.

He'll be in charge of teaching the Alex Gibbs' styled zone (cut) blocking system.

The big hole on the staff is linebackers coach. Former linebackers coach Glenn Pires was hired by the Chicago Bears.
