NEW ORLEANS -- Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones will be active today against the New Orleans Saints, the team announced.

Jones (hip) and safety William Moore (foot), who were inactive for last Sunday’s game against the Steelers, should give the team a boost in the showdown with the Saints.

The Falcons (5-9) are in a battle for the NFC South title and playoff berth with the New Orleans Saints (6-8). If the Falcons lose they will be eliminated from the playoff race.

The Falcons inactives: Quarterback Sean Renfree, safety Charles Godfrey, cornerback Ricardo Allen, linebacker Tyler Starr, guard Jon Asamoah, defensive end Stansly Maponga and linebacker James Anderson.

Falcons coach Mike Smith said on Monday that Jones and Moore were expected to play against the Saints.

Both were listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

Jones and Moore left the Falcons’ 43-37 loss at the Packers in the fourth quarter on Dec. 8 and did not return.

Jones leads the NFL in receiving yards (1,428) after setting career highs in yards in consecutive games. Jones also leads the league with 27 receptions of 20 yards or longer.
