Denver Broncos defensive tackle Sylvester Williams participated in the 5 Star Athlete Management’s football camp hosted by Atlanta-based Super-Agent Todd France and several sponsors on Wednesday at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School.
The former North Carolina product, who was selected with the 28th pick in the first-round of the 2013 draft, played well after earning a spot along the defensive line rotation.
Here are five questions with Williams:
Q: What was it like reaching the Super Bowl as a rookie?
A: Oh man, it was a dream come true. I was able to experience it with my family and my teammates. It was big for me. Even though we lost, I was able to get out there and have a good experience.
Q: How did you feel the rookie season went after playing in 13 regular-season games with four starts?
A: It went good. I would have liked to have started all 16, but I was able to get out there and do what I could. I got better as the year went on. I got better and I played well at the end of the year so I'm hoping to build on that going into my second year.
Q: How was Denver’s offseason program?
A: We had a great time. We were working with (defensive coordinator) Jack Del Rio. We really bonded well. I think we'll have another big year.
Q: What are you impressions of wide receiver Demaryius Thomas?
A: He's a great player. He's one of the best in the league, if not the best. We do believe that out in Denver. It's not just because he's our teammate, it because he goes out there and he gets it done for us every day. I love being on the same team with him.
Q: What’s it like playing with legendary quarterback Peyton Manning?
A: It's unbelievable. He's basically like a computer. He knows everything. It's like going up against one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, being able to go out there and compete with him and pick his brain helps when preparing for the upcoming opponent.
