Expect lots of sunshine and little chance of rain throughout metro Atlanta on Saturday.
Temperatures will be in the low to mid-80s by midafternoon across the region. And beyond a few light sprinkles in the North Georgia mountains, the area will remain mostly dry, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Eboni Deon.

“Hopefully, you have plans to head outdoors because it is not only going to be warm, it’s going to be a little less humid today,” she said.
The afternoon high in Atlanta is expected to be 85. By 9 a.m., temperatures had risen to 71 degrees. But it won’t feel muggy, according to the forecast.
Expect a few breezes from time to time as winds pickup throughout the day, with gusts that could reach 15 to 20 mph, Deon said.
North Georgia should not feel the effects of Tropical Storm Alex, a potential tropical cyclone expected to make landfall in Florida today and lash the Sunshine State with heavy rains. Deon said those storm patterns should not ripple beyond the southeast section of Georgia, near the coastline.
The winds will die down by the evening, but Deon said late night temperatures should stay relatively balmy in the 70s.
“Great day to get in some pool time, head out to the golf course. No matter what your outdoor activities include, it looks like you’re going to be in for a really nice day overall.”
