One Auburn fan just couldn’t wait until Jacksonville State comes to town on Sept. 12 to get a glimpse of Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Wednesday night, a video posted by YouTube user Auburn UAV showed footage from an unmanned drone flying over the stadium. The footage includes shots of the $13.9 million scoreboard that recently finished construction, officially giving Auburn the largest video scoreboard in all of college football.
It is also interesting to note that in April, Auburn became the first university to receive FAA approval to run an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight School as part of the school’s aviation center. Although it isn’t clear if this video is related to that project, UAV is common terminology for drones or Unmanned Aviation Vehicles.
