DeeJay Dallas was UGA's only commitment at "Dawg Night" this year. The 4-star athlete from Glynn Academy wasn't sure if he would commit when he made the trip to Athens, but said felt it was the right time.
Who might be next to commit to UGA? Dallas shared his predictions with the AJC. Let’s tease it a bit by saying if he’s right, it would cause cartwheels in Athens.
"I think the running back out of Maryland (2017 5-star recruit Anthony McFarland, Jr.) will come to Georgia. I don't really know his first name but I think he could commit to UGA next," Dallas said.
"Mecole (2016 4-star athlete Mecole Hardman Jr.) is a guy who I think is going to commit. Then D-Rob (2016 4-star athlete Demetris Robertson) is a guy I know likes Georgia a lot. I think he is going to eventually end up committing to Georgia. Those are the only three I can name off the top of my head."

Dallas said he could see the 6-foot-7 tight end Alexander Marshall pledging to UGA on the spot if he got an offer. Marshall is another 2017 prospect.
“UGA needs to take a good look at that guy,” Dallas said. “He’s big and he has good hands. I watched him catch balls all night.”
Dallas said he likes to play both sides of the ball, but that he was leaning toward playing wide receiver at UGA because of all the top-notch defensive backs that were coming to Georgia.
“I consider myself a top-notch athlete who can play defensive back or receiver but I feel like I play receiver better because I’m an offensive-minded player and its shows defensively. I go get the ball. I like the ball and I want the ball and that’s why I feel like I thrive on both offense and defense but that I would want to have the ball in my hands as much as possible when I am at Georgia.”
He's already playing the ambassador role as a UGA commitment. He said that he'll work on his cousin Shawn Smith at Brunswick to join him in Athens. Smith is a 2017 four-star receiver with a UGA offer. Dallas said that he knows that UGA's coaches already love his game.
“It’s a great new feeling,” Dallas said. “Now that I have secured my spot it is time to start recruiting other commitments so we can hopefully win a national championship. That’s the goal.”
How solid is he? Dallas was asked to describe a scenario which would not allow him to enroll at UGA. He does plan to enroll early.
"The only way I could not see myself at Georgia would be if Coach (Mark) Richt got fired or if Coach Richt left," Dallas said. "Or if any of the coaches left really. If those coaches on that staff left like Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt left or coach (Bryan) McClendon. If that whole staff was now longer at UGA, then that would be the only reason I would not go."
