Players looking to play for Bret Bielema's Arkansas Razorbacks better make sure their Twitter profiles are clean.
Not only do you have to be good on the football field, but you have to be professional when using social media.
“If you have a social media nickname or something on your Twitter account that makes me sick, I’m not going to recruit you,” Bielema said at SEC Media Days. “I’ve turned down players based on their Twitter handles. I’ve turned down players based on Twitter pictures.”
That’s interesting coming from a head coach in one of the best conferences in college football. It’s noteworthy to mention that Arkansas doesn’t compete with top programs in the SEC when it comes to recruiting, so the school is already limited in that area.
It’s also funny to note that Bielema has turned down recruits based on Twitter pictures, when this picture of him exists:
