After Tyler Clark committed to UGA this past weekend, he did an interview with Rivals and said he still planned to take five official visits.

The 4-star defensive tackle from Americus-Sumter listed five schools he wanted to visit.

But none of them were UGA. And Clark's mother described it as an "open commitment."

Clark set the record straight in an interview with the AJC on Monday.

“Yes, one of those official visits will be to Georgia,” Clark said with a laugh. “I was caught up in the moment that night after I committed. I knew I forgot about Georgia after I did that interview. I’m definitely going up there to Georgia.”

And what about those other schools? He had mentioned Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, FSU and Florida as trips.

“I’m still going to take some visits,” he said. “I just know one of them right now. I know I’m going to Alabama. I’m still talking with everybody else.”

It has been a few days since Clark pledged to UGA. How does he reflect on that decision?

“It feels great,” he said. “It feels great to be a Dawg. Everywhere I go, people are happy. They are glad I chose to go to Georgia.”
