Preston Williams "stole" signing day this year with his fashionable outfit.
The 5-star wide receiver from Lovejoy High School signed a football scholarship with Tennessee in February. And he got national media attention for doing so by wearing a white suit with an old-fashioned Tennessee football helmet shaped as a hat.
Nobody was surprised by Preston’s flair, not even Tennessee coach Butch Jones. If it’s one thing that Williams is, it’s … never a boring moment.
“Anything that Preston does, it does not surprise me,” Jones told the AJC with a chuckle, after being asked about his star recruit’s attention-grabbing outfit.
“We’re very, very excited about Preston. He obviously has a very unique and dynamic personality. But he has really displayed his loyalty to Tennessee. He was committed to us for a very long period of time. Obviously, we are very excited about him.”
