Nick Saban ‘not sorry’ for giving Jonathan Taylor a chance

March 30, 2015

Nick Saban said Monday evening that he’s not sorry that he gave a chance to former UGA defensive tackle Jonathan Taylor.

He’s only sorry that it didn’t work out.

Taylor was arrested on charges of domestic violence third degree assault and domestic violence third degree criminal mischief by the Tuscaloosa Police Department on Saturday night.

The 6-foot-4, 340-pound defensive tackle was kicked off Alabama’s team on Sunday.

This was after he was dismissed from UGA after being involved in a cash-checking scheme and then o a third-party complaint that Taylor had physically assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at McWhorter Hall dormitory. The case is pending in Athens.

Saban also addressed former St. Pius star Geno Smith’s second DUI arrest in two years. Smith is a defensive back at Alabama.
