Expect temperatures to drop to the teens Friday morning.

A wind chill is expected to lower temps into the 20s late Thursday with waking temps in the teens, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz.

Temperatures were 32 degrees in Atlanta, 26 in Blairsville and 33 in Griffin just before 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

The cold is expected to be with metro Atlanta through Friday morning, according to the latest forecast.

Expect a rainy weekend with highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s.
