For Georgia Tech football fans, and for Georgia fans who might want to scout a future opponent, Saturday’s weather should be in your favor.

The Yellow Jackets take on Vanderbilt at 12:30 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The weather at kickoff should be in the low to middle 80s, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Katie Walls said.

“Pack the sunscreen,” Walls said.

Vanderbilt will be in Athens on Oct. 15 to take on the Bulldogs in Georgia’s homecoming game.

Obviously, it’s shaping up to be a warmer-than-usual day.

“Temperatures this afternoon will be five to 10 degrees above average,” Walls said.

At 10:30 a.m., Atlanta was at 72 degrees, Griffin was at 73 degrees, and Blairsville was at 67 degrees.
