WEATHER-TRAFFIC UPDATE: Rain clouds to break after several days of storms
Between 8 p.m. Thursday and 3 a.m. Friday, Red Cross disaster volunteers responded to nine calls for help from families whose homes suffered flooding and tree damage resulting from heavy rainfall, particularly in Clayton and south Fulton counties.

“They provided assistance for safe, dry lodging and other emergency essentials for about 40 people who could not stay in their homes,” Red Cross spokeswoman Sherry Nicholson said. “The Red Cross will continue to monitor conditions and respond to disaster-related calls as needed.”
While part of Windsor Drive has reopened, repairs are ongoing, Channel 2 reported.
