Georgia and Georgia Tech have midday football games at home Saturday, and they likely will be played under cloudy skies.

It’s homecoming in Athens as Vanderbilt visits Sanford Stadium at noon. And in-state rival Georgia Southern comes to Bobby Dodd Stadium to take on Georgia Tech at 12:30 p.m.

The temperature should be at 70 degrees at kickoff for the games, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“It’s going to be a cloudy sky throughout North Georgia,” meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

And when the new week begins, Monahan said a “warming trend” should be coming, with high temperatures around 80 degrees Sunday and Monday.

As of 10:45 a.m. Saturday, the temperature was 68 in Atlanta, 68 in Griffin, and 63 in Blairsville.
