Atlanta weather | Rainy Sunday could see storms

Nov 17, 2013

Overcast skies gave way to rain in metro Atlanta on Sunday.

Storms were expected to move into the area later Sunday, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

There is a slight risk for severe storms in extreme northwest Georgia, which is on the outer edge of a large storm system affecting the Midwest, Nitz said.

Intense thunderstorms and deadly tornadoes swept across several Midwestern states Sunday.

Monday will be breezy with a high of 68 degrees before a cold front moves through. Highs will drop into the high 50s and low 60s Tuesday through Thursday.
