A wet morning will get dryer by day’s end … but not until after rain takes its toll on morning and early afternoon traffic, forecasters say.

"That very thin line of heavy downpours is getting thinner," Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said. "We're going to have some clearing skies."

Hour-by-hour forecasts call for precipitation to wane by 3 p.m.

Temperatures that began the day in the low 70s are expected to drop to the mid- to upper 60s through Tuesday, authorities said.

Also, Daylight Savings Time rolls back in over the weekend, with clocks scheduled to turn back an hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.
