The 70s are back in Atlanta, and we don’t mean the decade.
While it wasn’t a scorcher, it’s 73 degrees in the city and just shy of the projected high of 75, Channel 2 Action News reported.

And it could get even hotter.
Atlanta is expected to see highs of 76 Friday, 77 Saturday, 76 Sunday and 79 Monday. And places like LaGrange and Eatonton could reach the 80s, according to the latest forecast.
“We aren’t going to have fall,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said. “We’re just going to stick with some summer-type weather.”
The average high for this time of year is 68 degrees.
Atlanta’s next possibility of rain is Saturday, when there is a 20 percent chance of showers.
