Temperatures were 5 degrees lower Tuesday than they were Monday morning in metro Atlanta, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Temps were 51 degrees in Atlanta, 44 in Blairsville and 42 in Griffin just before 8:15 a.m.
“As we go throughout morning and get into the afternoon,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said, “we’ll be in the mid-60s (with) high-level, thin cirrus clouds rolling in overhead. That’s because of that east wind bringing just a tiny bit of moisture our way.”
Otherwise metro Atlanta will be dry and rain-free.
“We need the rain,” Minton said, “but it’s not coming anytime soon.”
Temps will reach 73 degrees by 2 p.m. and increase to a high of 76 degrees by 5 p.m., she said.
