A pair of airfare deals are worth noting not only for the bargain rates, but that these offers are valid on trips finished on or before Oct. 27, 2013.
American Airlines offers a today-only offer of $79.60 each way to Detroit and $83.80 to New York-LaGuardia. These great rates are valid on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays when tickets are booked one week or more in advance. Naturally, there are a number of blackout dates to avoid: Dec. 21, 22, 26, 28, 29; Jan. 2, 5, 6 and March 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, 28-31.
American offers frequent daily nonstop service between Atlanta and New York. A connection is required in Chicago-O’Hare en route to Detroit.
The deal to New York City represents a significant savings - particularly since you can take advantage of American’s nonstop service. Consider buying tickets today for your spring through autumn visits to the Big Apple. Other carriers (AirTran and Delta) charge a minimum of $300 per round-trip during peak tourist seasons.
Sale airfares are always subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase.
I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel websites such as Expedia or Travelocity, etc. Airlines can discontinue or pull a sale price without notice when the offer does not have a “ticket-by” date (as above).
