The hotel that was the inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining," has taken inspiration from the movie based on King's book.
The Stanley Hotel has created a large hedge maze in honor of the Stanley Kubrick film "The Shining," KCNC reported.
The 1980 movie starred Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.
King wrote "The Shining" after staying at The Stanley Hotel, according to Stephen King's official site. He and his wife were the only guests as the hotel was getting ready to close for the winter in 1974.
The design of the maze came from an international contest that drew more than 300 entries. According to The Stanley Hotel in a February press release, Mairim Dallaryan Standing of New York had the winning design.
