Fast facts about Walt Disney World.

Disney will embark on new expedition cruises to the Arctic in 2023 onboard the luxurious Le Boreal.

Beginning in Oslo, Norway, guests will journey with a team of naturalists and Adventure Guides through fjords and prehistoric glaciers as they explore the magnificent landscapes and unique wildlife of the Arctic.

The 10-day, nine-night sail takes guests to the remote Svalbard Archipelago, known for its rugged terrain of glaciers, frozen tundra and polar bears. Guests will also experience Longyearbyen, the world’s northernmost settlement, as well as Oslo, Norway’s lively capital city.

Adventurers will have lots of opportunities to get up close to picture-perfect glaciers and fjords, as well as a chance to see unique wildlife including polar bears, reindeer, puffins, foxes and whales.

The new expedition is a collaboration between Disney and PONANT, a polar expedition cruise company, with two Arctic sails planned in June and July 2023. For an extra dash of magic, guests on the July sail will have a chance to sketch alongside former Imagineer Joe Rohde.

Trips start at just under $12,000 per person. General booking opens Nov. 9 for guests who’ve already sailed with Disney and on Nov. 12 for first-timers.

Also in 2023, Adventures by Disney will offer a Galápagos Islands expedition cruise, which explores the diverse island ecosystems of the Galápagos Archipelago. Bookings open to the public on Nov. 12.
