A passenger brought fireworks to Sea-Tac Airport in his luggage on Saturday.

He surrendered the fireworks for destruction and was allowed to continue on his flight, according to Transportation Security Administration officials.

The fireworks come after the TSA announced that for the week of May 20-26, the agency found a record-setting 74 firearms that passengers had packed in their carry-on luggage. Firearms must be secured in checked luggage and abide by all state laws, according to the TSA.

Explosives of any kind are not allowed on planes, the TSA reminded passengers on Twitter.
