It’s not too late to book a great deal to Denver

It’s the final day to treat yourself or your favorite traveler with a great big deal to Denver.

One-way rates of $82.80 are valid on trips finished on or before May 15, 2013.

This sale rate is not valid on Sundays (expect to pay regular rates from $170). Give at least a 10-day or more advance notice of travel.

Four carriers serve Denver with daily nonstop service and all are participating in this sale that ends at midnight. Yet blackout dates vary widely by carrier.

AirTran blackout dates are: Dec. 21-23; Dec. 26-Jan. 6; Feb. 14, 15, 18; March 15-17, 22-24, 28-31 and April 5-8.

Delta blackout dates: Dec. 21-23; Dec. 27-Jan. 6; Feb. 15, 18, 24; March 21-April 4.

United blackout dates: March 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31; April 5, 7-10 and April 4-8 from Denver to Atlanta.

Frontier blackout dates: Dec. 21-23, 26-30; Jan. 1, 2, 5, 6; Feb. 14, 15, 18; March 15-17, 22-24, 28-31 and April 5-8.

If skiing and boarding is on your winter radar, more than a dozen ski resorts are within a 4 hour drive from Denver:

Sale airfares are always subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase.

I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel websites such as Expedia, Orbitz or Travelocity, etc.
