More great 1-day airfare deals

American Airlines is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most active discounters for spot airfare deals. The bargains randomly pop up and just as quickly — vanish. Here are today’s best offers (and that’s today only, Oct. 14):

To land these deals, act immediately on your ticket purchases.

Give at least a 21-day advance notice of travel. Trips are permitted seven days a week, based on sale seat availability. Meet the minimum stay of at least any three nights. Travel must be finished on or before Sept. 10, 2014.

The bonus of this sale is the absence of any holiday and year-end blackout dates!

American serves these destinations with one flight connection at either Chicago-O’Hare or the Dallas-Fort Worth airport.

Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. On some departures or days there may be few or no tickets available at the lowest price. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase.

I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel websites such as Expedia, Orbitz or Travelocity, etc.

Airlines can discontinue or pull a sale price without notice when the offer does not have a “ticket-by” date or when the offer is deemed “sold out.”
