Make holiday shopping easy this year. Wrap up a gift the entire family will love -- a winter getaway out to Steamboat Springs, Colo.

Several airlines are participating in a sale that offers a delightfully affordable round-trip rate of $258 to this world-class ski destination.

To qualify for this rate, start trips on or after Jan. 5 and finish travel on or before March 27. Westbound travel is permitted Sunday-Wednesday; east Tuesday-Friday. Add $20 each way for other other days of travel. Include a weekend stay and return within a month of your departure.

Buy tickets through Nov. 24.

Delta offers one daily nonstop flight to Steamboat Springs-Hayden (city code: HDN) from Atlanta. Other participating airlines with connecting flight service include American, Continental and United Airlines.

______

Save up to 20% on lodging and ski lift tickets at Steamboat with the "Early Rewards" package.   The offer is valid on stays through April 10, but reservations must be made by Nov. 24.

For instance, I priced out a stay for a family of four (two adults and two children under age 12) to include the four nights accommodations with three-day lift tickets for each at $288 per person, including tax and service fee.

Check it out at www.steamboat.com.

Sale fares listed here are subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase. I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel Web sites such as Expedia or Travelocity, etc.
