Carnival Cruise Line will expand its lineup of Cuba cruises for 2019-2020. An additional 23 sailings on five different ships will depart from four East Coast homeports. Carnival Sunshine will sail to Havana from Charleston, S.C.; Carnival Triumph from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Carnival Paradise from Tampa, Fla., and Carnival Victory and Carnival Sensation from Miami.

Carnival Sunshine will make history as the largest cruise ship to call in Havana. The 3,002-passenger, 102,853-ton ship will also offer the first Cuba sailing from the Port of Charleston.

Some highlights of the new cruises include a four-day cruise aboard Carnival Sunshine departing in November 2019. It includes a daylong call in Havana. Eight additional five-day cruises to Havana and Freeport depart from January through April 2020.

Carnival Triumph will sail eight five-day cruises with overnight calls in Havana and daylong calls in Nassau. The cruises depart from December 2019 through April 2020. A five-day cruise to Havana with a visit to Half Moon Cay departs in January 2020.

Carnival Victory sails a three-day voyage with a daylong call in Havana in November 2019. And, Carnival Sensation offers a four-day cruise with an overnight in Havana and extended Nassau visit in March 2020. It will also sail two five-day cruises in February 2020.

Carnival Paradise will sail a five-day cruise with an overnight in Havana and a stop at Key West in November 2019.

“Cuba has proven to be extremely popular with our guests and we’re delighted to provide even more opportunities to experience and explore this fascinating destination with these new voyages departing from four key East Coast homeports, including the first Cuba cruises from Charleston,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

Some 20 different shore excursions are available to guests on Carnival’s Cuba cruises. A number of Cuban-themed activities and entertainment take place during the sailing. And, a Cuba expert is on board discusses the country’s history and culture.
