AirTran sale benefits flexible travelers

AirTran is simultaneously running two airfare sales. And the most important one isn't detailed on their web site, www.AirTran.com.

The budget carrier is offering deeply discounted one-way rates to the most flexible of travelers! Can you fly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only? Then you'll save big on trips finished on or before Nov. 17.

Here's a look at the one-way deals:

• $45 Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Gulfport-Biloxi and Tunica, Miss.; Jacksonville and Pensacola, Fla.; Memphis, Tenn.
• $55 Akron-Canton, Columbus, Dayton, Ohio; Baltimore, Mary.; Bloomington-Normal and Chicago, Ill.; Branson, Mo.; Detroit, Flint, Mich.; Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, Sarasota, Tampa, W. Palm Beach, Fla.; Harrisburg, Penn.; Indianapolis, Ind.; New Orleans; Newport News-Williamsburg and Richmond, Va.; St. Louis, Washington, D.C.

To qualify, give at least a two-week advance notice of travel. Add about $20 for inclusive one-way rates.

Please note that this is not a system-wide sale. About a dozen AirTran destinations are not included.
