Paranormal activity is way, way scarier in virtual reality.

IGN put staff members alone in a room to experience the Paranormal Activity (yes, of the "Paranormal Activity" movie franchise) VR game.

The game debuted at South by Southwest in March, as well as at the Global Developers Conference in San Francisco.

IGN's video shows a split screen of what players are seeing and hearing, and their real-life physical reactions.

"The child music is not okay," PR and events manager Kiersten Slader says as a creepy lullaby plays.

The game is set in a house, filled with deteriorating accessories and bloody marks that appear on the walls.  Most of the game testers approach their adventure with curiosity and delight.Toward the end of the video, a few are reduced to whimpering puddles of fear, curled into the ground.
