Australian stunt rider Robbie Maddison said it was “probably the scariest thing” he ever experienced when he successfully rode his specially equipped dirt bike across the ocean waters off Tahiti and into the heart of a massive wave, surfing his way out.
Within a day of the promotional video for DC Shoes being posted, it had been viewed nearly 7 million times.
Maddison said he didn’t get the stunt right the first time he tried it. When asked how many times it took, he said enough to “seriously consider quitting.”
