How the winning run scored: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's second baseman Corban Joseph's two out homer in the ninth broke a 3-3 tie.

At the plate: After a leadoff single in the eighth, Braves left fielder Jose Constanza took two bases on a muffed pickoff throw to first base. Constanza scored on centerfielder Luis Durango's single to right. A failed bunt and two walks left the Braves with the bases loaded and one out but shortstop Josh Wilson and third baseman Ruben Gotay followed with swinging strikeouts.

On the mound: Reliever Andrew Russell (0-1) gave up only one hit in his one inning, the Yankees game winning homer.

Up next for Gwinnett: Braves RHP Eric Junge (5-8, 4.62) is scheduled to start against LHP Mike O'Connor (2-3, 3.39) in the 7:05 p.m. game at Coolray Field as the Braves try to avoid a four game series sweep.
