Here’s six things to know about the Atlanta Dream’s upcoming season:

Training Camp

The Atlanta Dream will have training camp from Sunday, April 23 through Friday, April 28.

No Angel McCoughtry

McCoughtry, a two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner and eight-year veteran of the Dream, announced in January that she will take time off from playing in 2017 to rest. McCoughtry finished the 2016 season averaging 19.5 points per game and 5.7 rebounds.

Newly Drafted players

In the 2017 WNBA Draft, the Dream selected Syracuse guard Brittney Sykes, Tennessee guard Jordan Reynolds and Duke forward Oderah Chidom. The Dream also signed University of Oklahoma guard Peyton Little to a training camp contract on Tuesday.

Exhibition schedule

On May 5, the Dream will play an exhibition game against the Minnesota Lynx at St. Paul’s XCEL Energy Center. The game tips off at 8 p.m.

Home opener

The Dream’s home opener will be on Sunday, May 21 against the Chicago Sky at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion. The game is scheduled to tip off at 3 p.m. in Atlanta.
