Georgia running back Elijah Holyfield thinks the Bulldogs’ familiarity against Auburn is helpful in the team’s preparation.

“Yeah, it helps a lot,” Holyfield said. “We are very familiar with them. We do play them every year and played them twice last year. We’re very familiar with the team.”

The Bulldogs host the Tigers Saturday (7 p.m., ESPN; News 95.5 and AM-750 WSB).

Georgia played Auburn twice last season, falling to the Tigers 40-17 before defeating Auburn 28-7 to claim the SEC Championship.

"Obviously it's the first time in a long time, probably ever, that we've played them three times, in what really amounts to a calendar year," Smart noted at his weekly press conference.
