After news of his five-year contract extension worth $30 million per year and $100 million guaranteed,  Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan thanks fans and the Falcons organization.

Ryan, who was drafted third overall out of Boston College in the 2008 NFL Draft, told fans he’s looking forward to spending the next few seasons in Atlanta and will work to bring Atlanta the championship the city deserves.

“I just want to say thank you very much for all the support and the last 10 years,” Ryan said in a video posted on Twitter. “It’s been an amazing ride here. I’ve had a ton of fun. Feel really fortunate to have played here this long and for such an amazing community and fan base, but I’m more excited about what’s in front of us and being here for the next six years.”
