Behind the bats of Xavier Avery and Ronald Acuna, the Gwinnett Braves completed a four-game sweep of the Louisville Bats on Sunday afternoon at Coolray Field.

With bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, the G-Braves trailed the Bats 7-3 when Avery stepped up to the plate and hit a grand slam over center field.

Avery went 1-for-3 with four RBIs in Sunday’s 8-7 win.

In the 10th inning, Acuna scored the game’s winning run with a double to left-center which, scoring Kade Scivicque from first base. Acuna’s 10th inning double was his only hit on Sunday.

As part of a 10-game road trip, the G-Braves will start a three-game series at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Tuesday night at PNC Field.

The G-Braves return home to Coolray Field on Aug. 25 for a four-game series against the Charlotte Knights.
