Linebacker Vic Beasley has some advice for Falcons’ fans who still struggle with Atlanta’s Super Bowl collapse in February.

Interviewed on 92.9 The Game on Tuesday, Beasley advised mourning Falcons’ fans to look forward.

"I would tell them the sun comes up in the morning,” Beasley said. “You know, you can't live in the past, but we can learn from the past. You can't let your past (affect) your future. That's what we do in this organization. We wanted it (worse) than anyone else and we weren't able to do that, but we look forward to this next season and looking forward to playing in that Super Bowl again this year."

Beasley had one pass deflection in Atlanta’s 34-28 overtime Super Bowl LI loss to the New England Patriots.

When asked what he thinks about the Falcons’ Super Bowl run last season, the collapse isn’t the first thing that comes to Beasley’s mind.

"Even though (the Super Bowl) did hurt, (I’m) still happy with the season we had and the way we were able to mature as men as a team,” Beasely said. “We're not going to take that for granted and we definitely want to finish the job next time."

In his second year with the Falcons, Beasley had 39 combined tackles and six forced fumbles.
