The Atlanta Falcons take to the field for the first day of training camp Thursday, July 28, 2016, in Flowery Branch.

Winning championships is nothing new for Atlanta Falcons tackle Andreas Knappe.

A rookie out of Connecticut, Knappe won a Danish-American Football Federation championship when he was 20 years old, according to Pro Football Focus.

After signing with the Falcons on April 29, Knappe is one of several undrafted college free agents joining the Falcons' roster after the 2017 NFL Draft.

Knappe, from Denmark, is the first Dane to play in the NFL since former Falcons  kicker Morten Andersen, according to American Football International.

Knappe becomes the third UConn alum on the Falcons’ roster in addition to wide receiver Nick Williams and cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson.
