Former Braves second baseman Dan Uggla had a hit and an RBI for the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies Wednesday night in his first game since being released by the Braves.

Uggla started against the Albuquerque Isotopes and was 1-for-4 with a strikeout in the Pacific Coast League game.

Fresno's Twitter account  directed this post at 'angry @Braves fans' after Uggla's hit:

Too bad angry @Braves fans, this time around Dan Uggla knocks a RBI single to put the #GsUp 5-0. #UggLife

Uggla signed a minor-league deal with the San Francisco Giants Monday, three days after the Braves gave up on the player they still must pay $19 million over this season and 2015.

The Giants will only have to pay Uggla the pro-rated league minimum if he makes it to the major leagues. Uggla reportedly has an opt-out clause if he hasn’t been called up to the majors by Aug. 1.

The 34-year-old Uggla hit .162 with two home runs and 10 RBIs through 48 games with Atlanta. He hit .179 in 136 games with the Braves in 2013.
