Chris Rini threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns to lead Lane to a 31-17 victory over Morehouse in Jackson, Tenn., on Saturday.

Rini was 25-of-31 with scoring passes of 41, 19 and 5 yards for the Dragons (2-0, 1-0 SIAC). He also rushed for 73 yards and kicked a 26-yard field goal and four extra points as Lane built a 31-3 lead.

Freshman Monquavious Johnson, a freshman out of M.L. King High, came off the bench to throw a pair of fourth-quarter, 8-yard touchdown passes to Devon Mann for Morehouse (0-2, 0-1).

Johnson was 7-of-10 for 76 yards in relief of starter Joshua Harris, who was 7-of-20 for 67 yards in his third career start.

Harris led the Maroon Tigers in rushing with 82 yards, including a 56-yard run.

Shelton Hamilton had 71 yards rushing, and Johnson added 41 as Morehouse had 200 yards on the ground.

Stillman 27, Clark Atlanta 6: Josh Straughan threw two touchdown passes to lead the Tigers past the host Panthers.

Straughan was 20-of-32 for 312 yards as Stillman (2-0, 1-0 SIAC) built a 27-0 lead in the third quarter.

Montavious Taylor, a freshman who played at Carver-Atlanta (0-2, 0-1), led Clark Atlanta with 85 yards rushing and scored the Panthers’ lone touchdown on a 1-yard run with 8:36 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Clark Atlanta has scored 12 points in its first two games this season.

Savannah State 27, Fort Valley State 20: Antonio Bostick led the host Tigers to two fourth-quarter touchdowns as they snapped a six-game losing streak that dated to last year.

Savannah State (1-2) equaled its victory total from each of the past three years, going 1-10 every year from 2010-12.

Bostick threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Cantrell Frazier to tie the score at 20-20 with 13:25 left and scored on a 1-yard run with 4:26 remaining.

Eugene Smith rushed for two scores and threw for 230 yards and another touchdown for Fort Valley State (0-2).

Reinhardt 19, Kentucky Christian 14: L.J. Stegall scored on a 1-yard run with 15 seconds left to lift visiting Reinhardt to the first victory in program history.

Deonte Dennis rushed for 115 yards and scored two touchdowns for the Eagles (1-2).

His 78-yard run gave Reinhardt a 7-0 lead, and his 1-yard run gave them a 13-7 lead with 6:51 left in the game.

Kentucky Christian (1-2) scored for a 14-13 lead with 2:11 remaining.
