Georgia Southern's Tyson Summers, Georgia State's Shawn Elliott and Georgia Tech's Paul Johnson will all serve on the voting board for USA Today's Amway Coaches Poll this season.

The 2017 panel of 65 FBS coaches which includes championship-winning coaches Dabo Swinney, Nick Saban, Urban Meyer and Jimbo Fisher will release the preseason Amway Coaches Poll on Thursday at noon ET on USA Today's website.

USA Today reported the panel is chosen by the American Football Coaches Association through a random drawing of a pool of coaches who said they were interested in serving on the board.

After his first year at Georgia, Kirby Smart was not selected for the voting board. Georgia State coach Shawn Elliott enters his first season as Panthers head coach this season while Summers enters year two at Georgia Southern and Johnson enters his 10th season at Georgia Tech.

“The Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA Today Sports, has for over two decades represented the kickoff of college football," executive director for the AFCA Todd Berry said. "The coaches volunteer to be voting members of the poll, and I know from my personal experience, take great pride weekly in acknowledging their feelings towards that week and how they rank our teams. We appreciate USA TODAY publishing our poll and the credibility that both the USA TODAY and the AFCA bring to the weekly excitement that is college football.”

The first regular-season Amway Coaches Poll will be released on Sept. 5 after all Week 1 games have been played. The remaining polls will be released weekly on Sundays.
