1. Braves fall to Dodgers

Even with a three-run home run by Ozzie Albies in the ninth inning, the Atlanta Braves lost the series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-4 on Thursday.  The Braves start a three-game series against the Miami Marlins on Friday night at 7:35 p.m. from SunTrust Park.

2. Falcons' Beasley encouraging McKinely in drills

D. Orlando Ledbetter reported from Atlanta Falcons training camp that third-year pass rusher Vic Beasley is encouraging rookie Takkarist McKinley to go to the front of the line during drills. More on the AJC.com.

3. Hawks expected to be NBA's worst team

ESPN projected the Atlanta Hawks will finish this season with the NBA's worst record. Jeff Schultz has more.

4. Morten Andersen to be inducted in the Hall of Fame

D. Orlando Ledbetter reports from Canton, Ohio from Thursday night's Hall of Fame Game between the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys. Ledbetter spoke with former Falcons kicker Morten Andersen who is one of six professional football greats to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame's 2017 class.
