Here are a few things to know on Friday:

1. Braves split series with Rockies

After losing to the Colorado Rockies 17-2 on Wednesday, the Atlanta Braves came back on Thursday to split the series with a 10-4 win. Braves pitcher Lucas Sims earned his first major league win during the Coors Field series finale and allowed five hits and two runs with three walks and two strikeouts in five innings. The Braves return to SunTrust Park on Friday night for a weekend series against the Cincinnati Reds. Friday's game begins at 7:35 p.m.

2. Sharecare to sponsor Hawks jerseys

The Atlanta Hawks will wear an advertising patch on their uniforms this season for the first time in team history. On Wednesday, it was announced Atlanta-based digital health company Sharecare would be that sponsor. More on the AJC.com.

3. Falcons rookie Damontae Kazee named defensive rising star

Atlanta Falcons safety Damontae Kazee was named one of five rising defensive stars to watch by NFL.comMore on the AJC.com.

4. Arodys Vizcaino taking advantage of second chance

5. Ric Flair has ‘multiple organ problems,’ in critical condition 

According to a report by former wrestler Ric Flair's fiancée Wendy Barlow, Flair was admitted to an Atlanta-area hospital on Friday night due to severe abdominal pain and as of Wednesday afternoon was in critical condition.
